The Corona Paradox

The Corona Paradox

Over three months ago we all dived into “intelligent” lock-down. From one day to the next we sat at home and wondered how on earth we had to get our work done: after all, we couldn’t go to the office anymore…..
Then something special happened. In no-time we learned how to work remotely. Aided by the many techniques (which had been around for years) but mainly by the “new normal” in terms of acceptance in the field of home working: forced by necessity, the distrust turned to confidence.
The office industry saw this, initially, as a disaster and foresaw a new explosion of empty offices….. 12 years after the fact.
The summer has now begun and oh how we are missing our colleagues, what have we become convinced that our work is to a large extent taking place “between the lines” and what does physical cooperation have a n added value…… so let’s go back to the office!
How nice is it that Rutte will announce tonight that we can come together again, even in large groups, as long as we respect the 1,5m rule.
Long live the office!
